Outlook IM Integration
If you happen to use both Lync and Jabber and Outlook, you might notice that presence information for Lync is gone or when you right click on contact to call, it longer opens Lync.
This is because Jabber, each time that it starts-up changes the IM Providers registry key to point to itself.
The workaround, to have Lync behave again is either:
- Re-install Lync - hardly a solution!
- Change the following registry key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers] "DefaultIMApp"="Cisco Jabber"
Change the DefaultIMApp back to "Lync" (or "Communicator" if you're using an old version) and restart Outlook.
