Version 1.1 - 3rd May 2009

Introduction

This application was created so you can convert Cisco IP Phones logos (7912, 7905) back to standard image formats. This application can also see the ID number that was assigned to the image.

Instructions

Run the application.

Select a logo - if the file is a valid logo it should appear in the window.

Click save.

Choose the file type and filename.

There you go!

Troubleshooting

  • The application cannot open a file.
    • Make sure it's a standard logo - that is, it was created with bmp2logo application from Cisco. If it loads into a phone the application should load it.
  • Can I create a logo with this application?
    • There is one field in the format that don't know what it is. It seems like a checksum, but until I find a way to calculate it, you should use bmp2logo from Cisco.

Links

You can get Cisco tool bmp2logo from this Cisco Download Software site in order to create the logo files. The file can still be found in the SIP firmware for the 7905/7912 phones (guest access may not be enough to download the tool tough).
